Envisioning

Building the Foundations of your IT Investment.

The Envisioning stage may be completed in short meetings for small projects as opposed to a full workshop and review which we recommend for SharePoint implementations. Our experience has proved that an effective Envisioning process is key to a project’s success. It helps you make the best decisions by understanding what the project will deliver, what it will cost and how it will be approached.

Benefits of the Envisioning Process

Effective Decision Making - Defining the project and estimating the costs accurately enables effective decision making by the business.
Agreement – Agreement of the vision and scope amongst the key stakeholders and team is achieved and documented. This is essential for any project which affects the business.
Understanding - Key stakeholders and the project team will have an appreciation of what the project will deliver and how the new system can help the business.
Possibilities – You will have a better appreciation of what can be done with the technology
Business Buy-in – the wider involvement of stakeholders from a cross section of the business helps to achieve commitment to the new system and the changes needed for its success.
Project Management– project approach, timelines, dependencies, risks etc. are agreed early on. It gives the project a greater chance of success if these project management essentials are well managed.
Reduce Risks – focusing on what is important to the business and having clarity amongst the whole team (both client and Parabola) reduces the risk of project failure.
Relationships – at the end of the process you will know and trust Parabola. We will know you and your business.

Typical Timescales for the Envisioning Process

How long the process takes will depend on how fast or slow you want to move. Our experience has shown that clients may need time to absorb some of the new and exciting concepts we present to them. Typical timescales are shown below but these are of course completely flexible.
