SharePoint Intranet for Large Housing Association Rolled Out
As part of our wider programme of work for SharePoint 2010 with A2Dominion Group (A2D), a new SharePoint intranet has been rolled out.
A2D’s communications department primarily wanted their new intranet to engage the whole organisation and enable multifaceted people search. Search now includes detailed profiles of staff, organisation charts and the ability to search by expertise such as ‘Prince 2 Qualified’ or ‘First Aider’.
Parabola fulfilled their needs using a two-pronged approach. Firstly harnessing the out of the box SharePoint features as far as possible and secondly providing custom web parts and styling to fit A2D’s more complex needs.
The new intranet went live in May 2012 following a considerable testing programme. Feedback from A2D has been very positive, with staff loving the new look and feel as well as the new functionality.
